Melilotus officinalis, called yellow sweet clover, yellow melilot, ribbed melilot and frequent melilot is a species of legume native to Eurasia and released in North America, Africa and Australia. Melilotus officinalis may be an annual or biennial plant, also can be 4–6 ft (1.2–1.8 m) high at maturity. Leaves alternate on the stem and have three leaflets. Yellow flowers bloom in summer and spring and produce fruit typically containing one seed. Seeds can be workable for up to 30 decades. *
