Myrtle Essential Oil
Myrtus communis Origin: Tunisia
With a sweet and earthy aroma that has hints of medicinal notes, Myrtle possesses natural components including pinene, camphene, cineol, dipentene, myrtenol, and geraniol. Because of its potent antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, Myrtle is a phenomenal addition to any all-natural household cleaner.
Native to the Mediterranean and Western Asia, Myrtle grows from evergreen shrubs that produce fragrant pink and white flowers. It has sharp, pointed leaves and a reddish-brown bark. Edens Garden’s Myrtle essential oil is derived from the leaves and fruit of the plant through a steam distillation method.
